A study based on both quantitative consumer research and financial analysis by brand consultancy Millward Brown shows that Apple is considered as the richest tech company in the world meanwhile Google is named at the second place. Standing behind Apple and Google are IBM, Microsoft, Amazon, Hewlett-Packard and so on.

Apple's iPhone and iPad have pushed the US technology company to top of the list the richest technology companies as well as the most valuable global brands in 2011. According to the study, the value of the maker of these high-profile products grew from US$83 billion to $153 billion.

    I find it hard to believe that IBM's success is: "mostly due to its ThinkPads which have been claimed as a great deal of the best business laptops. This value helps the company ranks at the third place in the list of the world’s richest technology companies." Seeing as the company sold its Thinkpad ThinkCentre business to Lenovo in 2006...
