While most people believe that super slim machines end up with too pricey, underpowered and underwhelming battery life, the XPS 15z proves opposite truth with the price of less than $1000, and the slimmest 15.6-inch notebook. The “innovative new form factor” Dell XPS 15zs has the mostly same shape with MacBook Pro. Due to that fact, the laptop will face with some stiff competition from Apple and Samsung – both market leaders on super portable high-end laptop sales. However, the slimmest 15.6-inch notebook is crafted with special materials with smooth curves and beautifully textured metal and equipped with Intel’s latest Core i5 and i7 processors. With all outstanding features, Dell will definitely gains advantage when bringing the new laptop to the market.

Dell XPS 15z is loaded with dual-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, 7200RPM hard drive and switchable NVIDIA GeForce GT525M graphics.

The thin laptop is packed with a pair of 3.5mm headphone and a dual-band Intel 802.11a/g/n WiFi radio inside.

The XPS 15z also has an oversized touchpad, a built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 9-in-1 card reader and Gigabit Ethernet.

The Dell XPS 15z is just a little bit thicker than a 15-inch MacBook Pro. The laptop weighs 5.54 pounds.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the thinnest laptop is appraised at a measly $999. The Dell XPS 15z’s battery offers 8 hours of use.

The slinky 15.6-inch XPS 15z is definitely the next big thing of Dell.

The Dell XPS 15z is made from magnesium alloy, aluminum and some pretty peppy silicon inside.

With the price of less than $1000, the laptop is cheaper than its garner comparisons to Apple's flagship

The Dell XPS 15z has 15z’s slightly curved and back-lit chiclet-style keyboard and is powered with Intel’s newer generation Core i5 and i7 processors.

The laptop’s speakers and ports are designed along the sides and a few in rear.

More interestingly, Dell decided to put 2 USB 3.0 ports and support for Bluetooth 3.0 and Intel WiDi display technology into the laptop.
