After a year and a half of waiting and countless rumors, the new iPhone 4S, instead of iPhone 5 as expected, was officially unveiled by Apple during an event in Cupertino, California, on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
The latest iPhone that runs the iOS 5 operating system and comes with 16, 32 or 64GB of storage, priced at $199, $299, and $399 respectively, will be available for pre-order on Oct. 7 and go on sale on October 14 in seven countries like the U.S. and Britain.
The iPhone 4S has some most significant changes including new voice control features; a new wireless system supporting better call quality and faster download speeds; an improved eight-megapixel camera, in compared with the iPhone 4's 5-megapixels, and sharper pictures with better colors.
