Sprint has just launched Android- powered phones, consisting of the QWERTY-equipped Samsung Transform, inexpensive Sanyo Zio, and the stylish one LG Optimus S, into the worldwide market.
In terms of Samsung Transform, the tablet features a 3.5-inch 480 by 320-pixel touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, dual cameras with a 3.2 megapixel camera for pictures and a front-facing VGA camera for video chat, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and stereo Bluetooth wireless networking. In addition, the phone features all Android 2.1 capabilities such as speech to text, visual voicemail, access to the Android Market, social networking applications, or full HTML Web browsing. One more thing, users can pack up to 32 GB of movies, music, and more using removable microSD storage. The Transform also supports up to five unique Sprint IDs. The Samsung Transform will be available on October 10 at the suggested price of $149, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year service agreement.
The Transform is GPS-enabled so location-aware services all work and the handset to run on Sprint’s 3G EV-DO Rev a network
The Transform ties in with Sprint Zone services such as Sprint Music Plus, Sprint TV to support Sprint’s new Sprint ID technology for consumers to download “ID packs”
In terms of the Zio gadget, the Zio runs Android 2.1 and comes with a 3.5-inch 800 by 480-pixel WVGA touchscreen display, virtual QWERTY keyboard with haptic feedback for text entry and messaging, along with a trackball for navigating onscreen interface. The Zio is also equipped with a 3.2 megapixel video-capable camera with autofocus, a microSD slot that can handle up to 32 GB of removable storage, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and assists GPS for location-aware services. The Zio will be available on October 10 priced at $99.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a qualifying two-year service agreement.

In terms of Optimus S, the LG Optimus One costs $50 after rebate and is shipped with Android 2.2. This product goes with a 600MHz CPU, 3.2-megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity, as well as 3.2-inch HVGA screen. Lastly, the LG Optimus S will come on sale after October 31st.
