Viruses, Trojans, rootkits and spyware are various types of dangerous malware which disrupt the daily activities of computer users. Many people think wrongly one of the worst types of malware with the anti-malware programs which are in fact malware themselves. The licenses to the so-called professional versions of these programs are purchased by users is the main aim of such applications which are virtually useless.
This rogue anti-malware application which belongs to the Antivirus Live family of rogue software. It is closely related to the well-known rogue programs Antivirus Soft and Antispyware Soft. AV Security Suite gets installed on user systems via Trojans that get downloaded along with infected PDF files.
These Trojans will exploit security vulnerabilities in Adobe Reader to install AV Security Suite on the user's system. Once installed, it will load itself as a Windows Startup Service and keep running from the time that Windows has booted up.
While it is running, The virus will perform and endless number of fake security scans, generating false reports that the user's computer is infected with dangerous malware that don't really exist on the computer.
AV Security Suite also blocks some security websites in an attempt to protect itself. Whenever the user tries to visit one of these websites, he or she will be redirected to a malicious websites which promotes AV Security Suite. This rogue program will also generate a large number of fake warning pop-ups from the Windows taskbar which keep warning the user about the aforementioned non-existent malware. As you can see, AV Security Suite will imitate Windows alerts to trick the user into believing that it is a legitimate program. The aim of all this activity is to push the user into purchasing a license for the 'full' version of AV Security Suite by making them believe that the currently installed 'trial' version cannot properly clean out the detected 'threats'. However, no version of AV Security Suite can every clean an infected system, nor can it detect one.
